2g is just gprs speed n 3g is like boardband speed connecting 2 internet/wap * +

Most the free vodafone ones showing a 3g connection and some the o2 pp9+ ones showing 3g connection and all the orange ones 2g , aint tried the tmobile and virgin ones yet *
