On the MTN website they advertise international calls from SA to the UK and other selected countries for R1.99. theres also competitions on 5fm and Metro.. i went to all service providers here, and typically they didnt know a thing. does anyone know how this works..is it only contract customers? do u have to register? only off peak time? etc. thanks. * +

Dont even try it i went to windhoek activated my international roaming got there and couldnt make or recieve any calls was there bout a month got back and got a R3500 phone bill 57 calls to different numbers in 1 minute and had to pay it ! ! ! * +

Wtf? Yes if you on prepaid its very cheap to make international calls. Like you said that is the price per minute peak and off peak. Allthough they dont mention all the countries you still pay very cheap. Example calling to australia costs R2.50 per minute peak and off peak * +

thanks.. are u sure about the 2.50 to Aus? cos i have an Mtn tariff guide and on that they say to call to Aus on prepaid, its over R7.50 a minute! * +

I got a print out from the web site. So I couldnt beleive my eyes and called customer care and she confirmed. I can confirm as make calls to Aus everyday cause all my friends stay there! * +
