where it says pop3 put pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk *

The free pop3 access is only available on REGIONAL accounts (like .co.uk mentioned above) so if you have a yahoo.com addy, you won't be able to access pop3 unless you have a premium account - since you're in the US the .co.uk server won't work for you I'm afraid. *
