I don't know WHY it doesn't (probably inadequate javascripting?) but I know that it won't. You can however set the refresh rate yourself in some of the Opera Mini mod versions, have a search of this forum for links to the 2.06 or 3.11 versions. *

If you decide to download and use one of the mods you can setup the refresh when you're on a wap page by going to: 'menu/navigation/auto reload' and inputting your desired refresh interval in seconds. *
