My inbuilt browse is operamini 5.1 but how can i delete it and install 4.2 - it installs the new updates of the browser ok, but i can't downgrade it? i have an alcatel OT-800 * +

Ok, please accept that I'm whistling in the dark slightly here as I don't know that phone, but I'm pretty sure you won't be able to 'downgrade' your default browser, however if you're able to install normal java apps and games on your phone you should be able to download OM4.2 and open it from wherever the rest of your java progs are installed. link to a site will still utilize the 5.1 version installed by default. If you wish to download 4.2 as a separate java app (if this IS possible) go to: m.opera.com, and scroll down to 'other download options'. * +

Ok, easy as pie or well kinda. You gotta download opera 4 and change the name in the manifest.mf file to opera mini and the version to 5.2 or something so it lets you over write the application. My phone came standard with opera 4.1 and i used this method since i couldn't delete it and needed to over write it * +

So i ended up using a copy of opera 3.1 that i renamed 4.1 to over write the pre installed copy and now just have plain old opera mini... * +
