Use the built-in browser to download, as if I remember rightly the system can't find the player if downloaded via Mini. * +

You haven't installed Coreplayer have you? That takes over all associations. If you have File Explorer or Xplore installed click on any mp3 you DO have and set the file association to 'default'. May not be able to post back as touch screen no longer working, waiting for replacement. Good luck. * +

You are using trix so your mp3 formats are titled differently. Download x-plore file manager or go to your original file manager and rename the mp3. Eg if the song is ... Michael_jackson_billy_jean then fill in michael_jackson_billy_jean.Mp3 in the end so that your phone will recognize the format * +
