Look theres 3 types of wap after gprs.They call it blackberry,edge and the new 3g.In desperation of vodacoms 3g mtn have launched blackberry and edge.But 3g is by far the fastest.Vodacom is launching 3g this month and mtn launch it in june.Wanna know more inbox me. * +

Modifications in the existin 2.5g network allow each data pulse to carry 3 bits of info vs the 1 bit of info in case of gprs/gsm data makin edge 3 times faster than gprs. I think almost all networks are now offerin edge services. Even the nokia 3220 and 6230 support it i believe. Dont know its full form tho...maybe its called so coz it gives you the edge over gprs

3g is by far the best, but i dont think anyone in India offers it. Hutch has gone fr EDGE while Airtel is banking on Blackberry. No use buying a 3g handset in India for now. * +

in serbia they offer video streaming via edge meaning i can watch tv on a phone. but the price is awfull. 3g has been launched recently too. what speed can i expect on 3g? * +
