you cant use it as a modem, it only has wap, no 2g edge, or 3g, it dont have the hardware to use it as a modem * +

You can use any phone with internet as a modem, it has dial up and GPRS, doesnt need to be 2G,3G,4G. You can also get software to speed up downloading and adjust settings. Ive always tethered a phone to laptop for dial up internet for years, never had a land line. I use a 3 skypephone atm as modem, but cant unlock it. * +
