have read the bumpf about android and symbian and most the stuff online is technical n jargon written x can any1 explain, in dumdum terms the difference between the phones plz? * +

The symbian operating system whilst good in its day, is now all but dead, with Nokia switching its allegiance to Windows, hence if you buy a symbian now, it's unlikely to have long-term support. The Android operating system is perfectly simple and straightforward and in its current format isn't hugely different to the iPhone interface, with hundreds of thousands of apps available via an on-device store, with many of them free. I've used all the major platforms and have settled for Android. * +
