you are better off going with a company that offers a tracker policy! you pay so much up front and then pay for what you drive. its restricting yes, but as a new driver its proberbly the cheapest way to insure these days. plus if your car is stolen theres more chance of getting it back because of the tracker ;) i doubt you will get insurance for 1k or less at youre age. my sis inlaw has recently passed her test and she is 27 and the lowest quote was 1800
