at least try to become a fruwnd to the boy first. You takyng his moms place or boy fears you going to steal his dad and that dad will not love him anymore. Reverse roles and you can predict his pattern of behaviour. Offer him personal space in your home. If you cant or wont end the relationship with the dad now.
