haven't watched any of it yet but this latest season of True Detective seems as it might be quite good. Jodie Foster signed on as the lead character so it shouldn't be awful at all.

episode 1 has aired only so far.apparently it was terrible... it wasn't even a genuine True Detective season, the script from another prospective show was used and the original show runner was onboard in name only.
