Think you'll find that's deleting mails mandain. The problem is the autocomplete suggestions. I have same thing and only way to do it is delete from contacts (defeats the point) or reset phone and restore contacts once you remove all the ones you don't want. Bit of a faff for something that could easily just be a swipe
