I got two boxes. one with single core AMD and another with P4. Each box has psu, mb and processor. To whichever box I connect my 80Gig hdd I don't get fan spin. When I connect my 20 Gig hdd I get fan spin,trouble is monitor then goes to sleep. I did say I don't trust my 20 Gig hdd. I know the p4 works, currently I suspect the hdd because it the only common component in the two systems.
