iSkoot software enables VoIP on cell phones

image

VoIP is becoming more and more mainstream, but not all of us get to sit at home (or in the office) all day. We're a mobile generation and we need all of our technology to follow us on the road. iSkoot has unveiled a Java-based thin client phone application that provides VoIP services, like Skype, on dual-mode handsets. Compatible with a number of different services -- such as GoogleTalk, AIM, and Yahoo Messenger -- the iSkoot solution (about 100K in size) works on phones that support WiFi, 3G/GPRS, or GSM/CDMA. This will provide ''maximum flexibility.''
