T-Mobile announces Windows Mobile-enabled Dash

The slim smartphone -- a re-branded version of the HTC Excalibur -- boasts quad-band GSM, EDGE, and Wi-Fi connectivity, along with Bluetooth, memory expansion, and a 1.3-megapixel camera.
The Dash (which we saw last month at CTIA IT in its HTC Excalibur incarnation) looks set to give the Motorola Q, another thumbboard-equipped Windows Mobile handset with a slim form factor, a serious run for its money. While the quad-band device lacks the 3G capabilities of the EV-DO-enabled Q, the Dash comes armed with an ace up its sleeve: built-in Wi-Fi. The phone also packs in Bluetooth, microSD memory expansion, an integrated music player, and a 1.3-megapixel camera. During our hands-on look at CTIA IT, we were impressed with the Excalibur's -- er, Dash's -- roomy keypad and bright LCD, and we also liked the velvety feel of the case.
