Enjoy Music in Style with the Dopod M700

Dopod International announced the launch of M700, a phone that offers an ideal music and entertainment experience for users on-the-go. This sexy gadget presents the best of both worlds by mixing business with leisure effectively into a compact, slim shell - bringing music and entertainment into your mundane everyday tasks. The M700 is a slightly different version of HTC Artemis. Dopod is also announced Dopod P800W which is the same as the HTC Artemis.

Besides the in-built FM radio, the Dopod M700 is capable of downloading music and audio-visual content. It also boasts high-speed WLAN access that speeds up the downloading process.

Equipped with a media centre, an audio manager and an audio booster with a 10-band equalizer range, the M700 presents high quality sound as users boogie to their favorite tunes. In addition, the M700 also comes with a 512MB MicroSD card for all your entertainment content and downloads.

The M700 is one of the first Windows Mobile Music PDA phone to offer the Open Mobile Alliance Digital Rights Management (OMA DRM) protection, hence making it an ideal ally to the music industry's drive to curb piracy. The OMA DRM protection is an industry protocol that ensures that copyrighted materials are not pirated.

Users who appreciate more storage space will love the M700's additional 128MB flash memory that is perfect in holding extra content such as songs or videos. The high speed WLAN 802.11b/g, Quadband, GPRS, EDGE and Bluetooth v2.0 give you ultimate connectivity wherever you go. Running on a Windows Mobile 5.0 platform, the M700 provides an ideal balance of performance and energy saving with TI OMAP.

The M700 looks just as good as it functions with a brand new form factor. At first glance, users will notice its 360-degree scroll wheel and 8-point touch pointer - thoroughly new innovative interface designs in the market. These are flanked by control keys that make it so much easier to access certain functions. The graphite silver colour and slim, compact size add to the phone's attractive appearance.

The M700 is also complete with a 2.0 megapixel CMOS camera and a 2.8 inch QVGA display screen. It comes with a 128MB built-in ROM and 64MB RAM memory with persistent storage. This PDA phone is equipped with Microsoft Office programmes like Outlook Mobile, Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, Powerpoint Mobile, IE Mobile, DirectPush and Windows Media Player 10 Mobile. In addition, users can also have access to Adobe Reader, Cyberon Voice Commander, RSS News Reader, Activesync, Comm Manager, Internet sharing, Network Wizard and Audio Manager, or communicate with their peers through Pocket MSN.

M700 from Dopod International is available from late November 2006 from authorized resellers at a suggested retail price (inclusive of GST) of USD1,099 Singapore Dollar.
