HTC HERM200 Gets FCC Approval

HTC's new Pocket PC, the HERM200 (Hermes), just got the FCC's blessings. Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, it is a quad-band GSM world phone and also supports UMTS for high-speed data connectivity.
The HERM200 comes with a host of connectivity options including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and wireless modem. Software bundled on the phone includes a terminal services client for remote access.
There's also a decent 2.0 megapixel camera on this one. Entertainment options include Windows Media Player which supports streaming as well - so you can test drive your UMTS connection. It can open a bunch of Office file formats, and comes with ClearVue PDF viewer.
Other nice things include a Zip manager to handle compressed files and a microSD slot. There's even a Video Call button on the phone. A full QWERTY keyboard enhances user input experience.
No word on pricing yet, but it should hit the streets soon.
