LG unwraps VX8600 Chocolate flip phone

The clamshell version of the original VX8500 slider comes with stereo Bluetooth capabilities, microSD memory expansion, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and built-in GPS.
After weeks of rumors, the sleek VX8600 Chocolate flip phone has finally arrived on Verizon Wireless, and for the most part we like what we see. The new Chocolate is slated to ship with the same V Cast capabilities of its slider sibling, the VX8500, along with exterior touch-sensitive music controls (which were a bit too sensitive on the original Chocolate). Also on hand is Bluetooth, which includes profiles for stereo Bluetooth headsets and dial-up networking, a nice plus. The phone will also have the VX8500's slick Flash user interface, an eye-popping refresh of Verizon Wireless' aging menu system. Rounding out the flip Chocolate's feature set is a 1.3-megapixel camera, speaker-independent voice dialing, and built-in GPS. Keep an eye out for our full review.
